Plane of Sun

The plane from which Norrath's sun draws its power. Solusek Ro oversees it from his palace, known as Solteris. It is also known to power eight other stars besides Norrath's. This plane was recently invaded by the forces of Mayong Mistmoore, then-demigod of blood and lord of vampires. The dark invasion managed to subdue a majority of the plane while Mistmoore himself fought his way into Solteris and engaged in combat with the Burning Prince himself. During this battle, which lasted for several months, Norrath's skies turned blood red as the sun lost much of its power. The resulting darkness allowed undead to run rampant across Norrath, prompting mortals to intervene. In time, adventurers arrived and drove back the aggressors, restoring the power of Norrath's sun and returning the sky to normal.

The Plane of Sun, in a manner similar to several other planes manifests as a chain of floating islands in an endless sky. Everything on the plane is bathed in a dazzling golden light, and various creatures of heat and flame patrol the islands at the will of their god. Numerous structures of fantastic architecture dot the islands, the largest of which is the Solusek's palace itself.
