I was right to question the significance of our rings. After some research, and a little prodding, I discovered the link between Ro's flame and our "symbols of pride". The High Council has imbued the rings with the essence of fire, granting protection to its wearer. I cannot fathom why they have not distributed rings to the rest of the city. When confronted with the issue, the council claims that solenium is in short supply, but anyone who's been to the mines knows that's not the case. There are whispers within the hall that the council would be happy to see all the embers perish... embers like Vasser and Nara. I won't stand around and let those that I love die because the council only cares about itself.
