I've spent the past few days following the freemind sporali -- a sort of family-free sporali -- deeper into the caves when me and my clockwork assistant encountered some shiliskin that were wrapped in webs. When we cut them loose, the shiliskin were surprisingly alive! By the looks of things, they had been in there for several years! Thankfully they were too weak to attack us and instead ran off into the darkness. Still, I wonder what kind of a creature could create a cocoon that would leave a victim in stasis for so long?
