DoNCultBook1WoodElf
Unlike most forms of armor, wood elven armor relies not on the strength of its materials but instead upon the skill and dexterity of its wearer. Characterized by gentle, flowing angles and light-weight designs, wood elven armor is shaped to deflect blows rather than absorb them. A skilled wood elven veteran knows how to position himself and twist with incoming strikes to maximize the armor's defensive abilities. For this reason, artisans often scribe wood elven armor with symbols that resonate with a warrior's natural skill, enabling him to detect incoming threats and move accordingly.
This book contains designs for the most elementary of wood elven armor symbols. Designed for young warriors, these symbols are easy to understand and master, but offer only a marginal degree of protection. Ideally, wood elven warriors will begin with these symbols and work their way up to more advanced designs. You know that you will be able to reproduce this pattern many times before the book becomes worn and you must replace it.
To create patterns for tailoring armor templates based on these patterns you will need this book, a large bottle of ink, a roll of vellum, a quill and a compacted backpack to hold the patterns you will make. You'll also need a book binding to do the work.
