Personal Notes : If you are able to read this, then, I fear the worst has happened, and my untimely demise has left only these scribbles upon this parchment. Contained in the rest of this parchment, you will find a complete listing of all of my discoveries, and works within this plane. Unfortunately, I have had this sneaking suspicion that someone is watching me, and is waiting for me to complete my work, only to snatch it from under me. I plan to take these notes, and separate them into 8 sections, and scatter them throughout the plane, in hopes that one day, someone will find them, and be able to rebuild them, and continue my works.

I have found many items within the planes, some of which have nearly identical magical energies. These energies would suggest that they were, or are, magically bonded in some fasion or another, but their physical properties display that as being a direct impossibility. These items seemed very unusual, to say the least. In my explorations throughout this plane, I had found a few raw metallic-like substances, for lack of a better description. By sight, and touch, they were exactly the same on every account. I gathered several, and took them back to my lab for further study. Their magical signatures were nearly identical, with only minor differences. It was then, that I realized, each of them had different weight values, but were otherwise exactly the same.

At first, they appeared to be unusable, but after studying them, I noticed a rather unique magical aura about them. I took these items to a fellow colleague of mine, a very skilled craftsman who has delved into the magical realm with his craftsman skills. He examined them, and experemented with them a good bit, and managed to come up with some usable results, though Im not quite sure what one would use the result for.

By the time anyone gets these notes, I fear that it may be too late to save me, and perhaps even my colleague. If you are reading this, go out in search of anyone who may have knowledge of these materials. They hold the key to unlock the power of them...
