As Tarn was found to be attempting to overthrow the king and queen, it was decided that he would be imprisoned until he was needed later -- though releasing him will require a most-profound need, for his magic and will is terrifying.

Through the Crystalcell Keep ritual, we have dispersed Tarn into several crystals, keeping his essence from reforming into his former self, for now.

It is likely agonizing for him, but that is a suitable punishment for his treason. After all, there is a possibility we may unleash him should we want to relieve ourselves of these dull times.
