For so many years I have trained our young sprites.

To see them grow older and then use all of the teachings that we consider sacred against each other is enough to make my tail curl.

Tragedies befall our people with each breath I take. There is a strange force of magic surging through our lands that I am at a loss to explain to the rest of the council, so I have not.

More than a few spells that have gone awry as a result -- my most basic and trusted spells.

There is something wicked in our lands and none of us are able to touch or hold it. From the look in Noble Pravel's eyes, I know he has felt it too.

Our best cleric has been hiding his face and I could see that he appeared burned.

I have been wondering if he has had the same misfortune I have had with magic, but he suffered more severe consequences.
