Day 6 ~ I've been in the desert for what seems like weeks, trying to find a way to summon forth Mumreh. I've noticed at times a small band of undead appear near the ruined wizard spires. Could they have something to do with the ancient mummy? I believe that killing them all may be enough to lure Mumreh from hiding. Surely he cannot rest while his brethren are slaughtered?

Day 9 ~ Much to my disappointment, killing the undead did not bring forth Mumreh. However, my actions did seem to anger the sand giants. These behemoths normally keep to the high dunes, though lately they have been increasing in number near my camp. Could they be the gatekeepers to Mumreh? It is possible. Either way, I fear my only option is to kill them all.

Day 13 ~ My water supply grows smaller each day I spend in this desert. It does not help that the madmen who wander here look as though they'd murder me for a flask of water. I was lucky enough to come across a merchant who was willing to sell me supplies. She also had an interesting story about Mumreh, claiming that the ancient mummy could be lured from hiding if one were to fall under the illusion provided by a Midnight Veil. I'm willing to try anything at this point, so I may just have to procure this item somehow.

Day 14 ~ I did a terrible, terrible thing. The merchant - she is dead, and by my hands. But I have the Midnight Veil... Fortune has smiled upon me in many ways today. I also found a tidy inn with a hospitable keeper by the name of Tizzy. It is here where I will rest until nightfall, and hopefully clear my head.

Day 21 ~ After much trial and error I have found what I believe to be a way to summon forth Mumreh! I sit atop the oasis tower as I write this, gazing upon a creature that has appeared on the west bank. Could it be real, or just a hallucination brought forth by my long exposure to this sweltering heat? Before I investigate, I'm detailing the steps I took to reach this point in case I do not live to tell the tale myself.
First, I used the Midnight Veil as Ulyssa instructed. This made me appear as a dark elf.
Second, I waited until dusk. I found it easiest to rest at the inn, rather than wait for the sun to fall.
Next, I made my way to the top of the oasis tower, and gazed towards the west.
It was after following these steps that I noticed a creature appear on the west bank across from the tower. Alas I must put my quill and journal down, as treasure and adventure await me!
