It has been two days since I fled the upper levels of the pyramid. I dare not return. After studying Uinaonuvo's tome it has become apparent what his plans were.

The ritual involving Galuuk was merely a test before he had the ritual performed on himself. Unfortunately for Uinaonuvo, he overlooked one crucial step in his experiment. It seems that the Eye of Korr was meant to be used as protection against Galuuk should he rise and seek to destroy the living. Uinaonuvo however did not properly contain the Eye in a properly prepared canopic jar and recite the necessary incantations.

In his lust for power, Uinaonuvo failed to protect himself and the pyramid from Galuuk's wrath. I have grown weary. I have not had food in the two days since I fled the upper chambers. There is a small lake of water here that seems to be clean. Some sort of strange walking lotuses make their home around the edge of the water. Their sweet-smelling pollen has become intoxicating. I believe I shall investigate these intriguing flowers closer in the morning. For now I sleep.
