The results of Uinaonuvo's grisly ritual quickly became apparent today. A series of frightning yells from some of the other guards roused me from my troubled slumber early this morning.

I ran to Uinaonuvo's chambers to see Uinaonuvo on the floor in a pool of blood. His head was missing. The stone slab where Galuuk lied yesterday was empty, the chains once securing him torn apart.

A guard ran past me screaming, "Galuuk lives!" I spun around to see the mummified body of Galuuk shambling down the hall towards me. One of my guards attempted to stop Galuuk's advance. Galuuk picked him up by the throat with seemingly no effort at all and crushed his larynx.

I noticed the tome that Uinaonuvo used in the ritual just the day before lying on the floor. I picked it up and ran. I fled to the unfinished corridors below the pyramid.

To whoever reads this tome today; call me a coward if you will, but the sight of Galuuk, wrapped in blood-soaked linens coming down the hallway has chilled me to my very core. Galuuk is now a walking corpse; a mummy. He is undying. His strength now equals that of many men.
