The Alarans are the ancient inhabitants of a distant world encountered in the Veil of Alaris expansion, known for their deep religious traditions of honoring their gods by adorning armor with sacred wrappings in a Reliquary of Refinement.

It is a tradition among all Alarans to honor their gods. The most common way we do this is by adorning our clothing with the sacred wrappings representing our chosen deities. By doing so, we are able to channel some of their awesome power into the adorned items.
When one is just beginning their rites of adornment, they would begin with either Rustic or Modest wraps depending on their station. These wraps can be added to fantastic and osmium armor templates by using the proper adorning agent. Of course, you must do this inside the Reliquary of Refinement. This will produce the lowest level adornments.
If you wish to honor your gods further, you can add a finer layer of the sacred wraps to your already adorned armor. Those of lower station would next use Formal, Embellished, and finally Grandiose in that order. For those of a higher station, you would use Elegant, Stately, and finally Ostentatious wraps.
Some sacred wrist wrappings can be altered slightly to grant different powers to their owners. After the initial adornment process, the adorned item can be altered in the Reliquary. If you wish, you may also undo the alterations in the same way. It should be noted that altered wrist adornments can also be further adorned without the need to undo the alterations.
Though the practice has largely fallen out of use, some less devout worshippers have been known to skip applications of the adornment process. This can be accomplished by obtaining an unadorned piece of clothing of the proper appearance, and then adding the sacred wrappings to it. Even using this unsavory method, the proper adorning agent and the Reliquary of Refinement must be used.
Plain unadorned clothing can be used with the Formal and Elegant wraps, Detailed unadorned clothing can be used with the Embellished and Stately wraps, and Sophisticated unadorned clothing can be used with the Grandiose and Ostentatious wraps. Although this may be a faster way to reach the final stages of adornment, it is considered a less than honorable method of honoring the Gods.
