The true strength of Erudite armor comes not from the materials used in the crafting process, but rather from the magical defensive glyphs etched across the armor's surface. The creation of these glyphs involves an arcane process requiring extensive training and a steady hand. Many Erudites have developed the glyphs into an arcane language of its own that continues to evolve and develop from creator to creator. Due to the complexity and rarity of these glyphs, they were largely distinctions of Erudite heroes and nobles.

This book contains the intermediate Erudite protective glyphs. Characterized by complex, swirling patterns and ornate flourishes, these symbols unlock a degree of their wearer's inner strength. They were typically worn by young, untested Erudite adventurers. You know that you will be able to reproduce these patterns many times before the book becomes worn and you must replace it.

To create pattern for tailoring armor templates based on these patterns you will need this book, a large bottle of ink, a roll of good quality vellum, a quill and a compacted backpack to hold the patterns you will make. You'll also need a book binding to do the work.
