Our troops pierced through the potent fear created by the Troll army, but were defeated on the field of battle. Only a few of our brave warriors managed to evade death under the axe of Ykesha's army. An eyewitness report of the battle is as follows:

The Barbarians clashed head first with the Troll army. The courage of the Barbarians was remarkable. The Trolls, as fearsome as they are, were beginning to look afraid themselves. That was until he stepped into the fight. Even from my hiding spot far away, where each warrior looked just bigger than a speck, I could see him clearly from the rest. Fearless to their end, each Barbarian that stood up to him was cut down in a matter of seconds. Each time a Northman was cut down, fear began to overtake the remainder. From the safety of my hiding spot, I found my courage being sapped form my being and soon fled. The Northmen should be commended for their unfaltering bravery."

There were few survivors. The lamenting for our fallen kinsmen can already be seen all over Halas. We can only hope that our efforts have not been in vain. May your thoughts be towards our recently departed and for the vigilant defenders of Gukta who are poised, ready to face the armies of fear that await them.
