Word from Neriak has reached our correspondents in Freeport and it's said that the Trolls of Clan Grobb are now killing each other in a brutal civil war for control of the clan. Unfortunately, due to recent events, we were unable to acquire solid proof. However, it is rumored that a new leader has claimed authority. We are not able to verify the name of this troll, but we will update you as soon as we know more.

If the trolls are able to unite behind a new, strong leader it does not bode well for the forces of light. If the trolls are able to bring themselves under control and organize their strategies, they could be a formidable opponent for any good folk. Evidence of Dark Elf tampering suggests that they, perhaps, had some involvement with the succession , however, that is an unconfirmed rumor.

~ Attack at the Chess Board ~

The Kaladim city Guard reports that there was an incident at the Chess Board in Butcherblock Mountains near the Greater Faydark border. Two unidentifiable corpses were discovered there, and the guard is currently conducting an investigation. The attack appears to be too savage to be the work of mere goblins or the out-cast dwarf gangs.

Karak Skufstone, who found the bodies had this to say to The Mining Journal.

Aye, disgustin' sight it was t' see there. I couldn't believe me eyes, lad. When I found 'em I went and got the guard right away. With all tha's goin' on in the land these days, ye can ne'er be too careful."
