Gukta, Outpost of Marr Falls!

Verant/SOE

Shar Vahl Tribune:: }-------------------------} Vol. 9 No. 9 ~ Gukta, Outpost of Marr Falls! ~

With little to stop the advancing army of Dark Elves and Trolls, the Froglok armies were defeated in Innothule. The battle lasted for many hours with the Frogloks immediately forced to push back to one front just outside of Gukta. For the first couple hours, they managed to withstand a massive barrage of invaders. Kor Master Gloorg recounts this period of the devastating battle:

The noble armies of Gukta managed to hold ground for a considerable amount of time. Honor be with us, but the massive force seemed to grow thicker the harder we fought. Froaaak. As we could not hold them off forever, I suggested to the Elders that we make plans for retreat. We were being crushed by a force of superior numbers and needed to forge a way out. At first, the evil army - froaaaak - did not notice our attempts to break out of our current position. This allowed us to break a small opening in the Wwest side of their front line and what ultimately became our exit. When it became evident to our attackers that we were attempting retreat, they did not let up. This was more than just a force to overtake Gukta, this was an attempt at genocide. Luckily, our clerics and shaman were able to maintain our escape route and prevent minimum casualties during our retreat."

Asked about why he seemed so unaffected by recent events, Master Gloorg had this to say:

An attack by the - froaaak - Trolls is long overdue and expected by the Lokta Elders. It is a contingency we have always planned for. It is however unfortunate that our most undesirable contingencies plan need be executed - securing a new home. Until these plans have been carried out completely, I must remain strong for my people. Only then can I mourn and reflect on the events that have occurred."

~ War Tax News ~

King Raja Kerrath expresses his deepest sympathy for the Froglok people and the loss of their home city. Regretfully, the monetary support gathered from the war tax did not arrive in time. However, we intend to stick to our pledge and contribute these funds to the rebuilding of a new Froglok city."
