Research Log: 13 of 43

Today I begin my studies by again reminding myself of the magnificent and mysterious creature that I am studying. It is hard to fathom that this great creature known to us as the Sphinx has so much knowledge to offer but remains completely shrouded in mystery as to its exact origins.

Our studies thus far have still been unable to determine how long this ancient race has resided on Norrath, but we have to believe it was centuries before our own human civilization was in its infancy.

The Sphinx have taken well to the environment we fashioned for them. They remain at peace and they thrive.

It is my charge to harvest what knowledge I can from them, logging it all for the Combine records. I cannot rush this process because they do not take well to being incessantly prodded for information. Their experiences wtih the Ogre magi of the Rallosian army has left them distrustful.

In time, I believe they will surrender the information we seek willingly.
