Chelsith was the ancient seat of the Shissar Empire on Kunark, a dark city containing the Great Library where the Shissar amassed vast planar and forbidden knowledge, served by enslaved Iksar.

This is known as the Age of the Snake. The snake race known as Shissar, slithered upon Kunark.
