Overview

Drawn from The Maps of Myrist zone description.EQ1Primary · official

The Plane of Sky is the realm of Veeshan, the Wyrm Queen and creator of all dragons. It is a vast, open space of air, clouds, and the cosmos. From here, the sky is in a constant state of twilight and dusk, never fully reaching night nor day. The planets and the satellites that compose the Ro system can be observed from the Plane of Sky; their constant movement defines the entire, three-dimensional expanse of this realm.

The Plane of Sky manifests itself to mortals as a chain of enormous, floating isles of earth and sparse architecture. These suspended, uprooted platforms are what enable the physical presence of mortals on the plane.

The structures that lie atop the suspended islands are few in number. They are large and beautiful buildings made of unearthly materials that seem to glisten in the eternal crimson light of the unwavering dawn sky. There are also large steel chains dangling from the roots of the floating platforms of earth – their purpose appearing to be only cosmetic, though they hint of a meaningful origin.

Many planar beings inhabit the Plane of Sky – all minions created by the conscious will of Veeshan herself. These beings serve her and her interests within the plane. The great Wyrm Queen herself will not be found in the plane, however, for her divinity and might is rumored to be far too great for any mortal to witness and comprehend. It is rumored that Veeshan lies in indefinite slumber, her consciousness and essence residing safely in the realm of dreams governed by the benevolent deity, Morell-Thule.

Sacred to the Aurai PAGE 2 BLANK

For ages the Children of Veeshan claimed the firmament lands of the Plane of Sky as their realm by birthright, professing to serve the legendary crystalline dragon and her interests while lording over all others in their inherited lands. But even they fought for supremacy amongst their kind. Fractured and rapacious, they warred amongst themselves often, one dragon lord fighting another and sending their vassals to die at the claws of another. Wurm against wurm. Kin fighting kin. Pathetic.

If they were created in Veeshan's image then it is no wonder she has remained absent for so long. They are too self-serving, too focused on personal glories and power to see how strength lies not in an individual, but as a collective. And that is why they fell. That is why so many different beings of various powers were able to rise against them and lay claimn to separate domains of the endless sky through the eons.

Zimara Breadth has always been a jewel of the plane wth its abundant deposits of various ores and semiprecious gemstones on dramatic islands that have found magical purchase upon the intangible layers of sky. One cannot deny its attraction, whether you are one with power in your grip, or one looking to wrest it from others. We, the Yazdani of the Aurai, have lived here for hundreds of mortal years, whle the wurmms had languished here for ages before. A few other insignificant creatures had claiimed it for short breaths between, before being unseated themselves in a succesion of violent but ultimately doomed upheavals.

The land was fated for the Yazdani!

Though we had not always been of one ourselves, either. Great Queen Shabereh of the Four Winds (Glory to her name!) united our tribes, formed us as one, and directed our talents that we could reach the monumental heights of our collective potential. The oldest matrons still recall the day she led our people up a precarious trail, filled with desperate defeners and deadly switchbacks. They speak in awe of her dazzling speed and energising verve as we gained every bit of ground, undetered, untl reaching the very pinnacle of Strungstone Peaks, known then as Veeshan's Gaze.

I have studied the works of Miragul and have seen the flaws with the process he used to reach immortality. I do not wish to be bound to a single container. I wish to be a free spirit, able to keep my memories and will. I believe I have found the key to doing what I desire in the ancient Combine texts I have discovered recently. I will use the same process

Of Mice and Maedjinn Foreward:I don't recall much from before. In fact, none of us do, so it's been necessary to compare memories with one another to assemble an understanding of our past, while we can. This is our story as best we can tell. It is the story of our beginning, our divergence, and our ending.
