Recent reports from the swamp from investigators looking into an earlier issue concerning a dark ritual have noticed a rise in the population of the Guktan guards in the swamp. When questioned, the Guktan elders only said they were being cautious. With the Dark Elf attacks in Freeport and the strange ritual that was performed defiling the swamp not long ago, it is much better to be prepared and ready then not.

We don't expect any problems but as always it is better to be prepared then not. I do not trust the Dark Elves and Trolls to keep their fight in the north... Froaaakkk."

Across the desert the battles continue. The Dark Elves have taken up camp outside Freeport and continue to strike at anyone who gets in their way. No one is safe in Freeport. If traveling, Gnomes are advised to find other travel routes and destinations.

~The Clock~

A team of Engineers was sent to inspect the Clock of Ak'Anon in Qeynos. Several adventurers were seen tinkering with the plate on the back of the clock. No real damage was done but one Barbarian, known as Tharkis, was caught pushing on the back and is said to have been mumbling something about a secret panel and a power supply. The guards found a Spinzaflobberator in his possession. The Barbarian was held in custody and will be sent to Ak'Anon for further questioning.

Rumor of his connection with the Steam Vectors is largely exaggerated and Geo Friinok would like to put an end to it. "We don't need another conspiracy theory in Ak'Anon. Dott has been captured; let's just let the Steam Vectors die."
