There continues to be raids on Freeport from Dark Elven forces. These forces come from the Commonlands and even Nektulos. Many expected a retreat from the Dark Elves but it seems as though there is more going on here than meets the eye. Many are even speculating a larger raid brewing. Militia Captain Hazran said the following when asked about a future threat:

It just doesn't make sense. They know we can send enough men to destroy their camps even without assistance from the Temple. So setting their men up there looks like a suicide mission planned by idiots. Say what you want about the inkies, they aren't stupid."

Fear of war appears to be spreading. Fortunately, it seems to be still on the eastern side of the continent. While the Freeport Militia is increasing patrols and cautiously monitoring the situation, the Guktans appear to be making preparations should the conflict spread further south. We have received word that Lokta Elder Sigig cautions that we should not take their response as anything more than caution.
