The appearance of elementals has our people in a panic. The seal I placed on the wall must have been weakened. This new threat has me worried that my plans to return my people to Erudin will not be completed in time. With my people focusing on fortifying our city, I would never get the support I needed to take back our home.

The elementals have been rather bold lately. A few charged the front gate and killed 5 people before being subdued. They are becoming more powerful everyday, but I do not understand why they are attacking. We have not crossed into their land so why do they come here to slaughter us. I must convince everyone that we need to leave and with the power I hold and the minions I can create we will easily take Erudin.

Today I told everyone it is time to leave but they laughed at me. They believe that this place is where we belong and that it is too late as the elementals have surrounded the city preventing our escape. Because of this I have placed my construct creation on hold and begin to create a way out for everyone. I have finished building three portals in a secret part of the city. While the magic is a bit intricate, I think I can get them to work however once someone steps through they will not be able to return the same way. But if we take Erudin this will not matter.

I am writing this in haste as the guard captain is banging on my door. I have been labeled a traitor and as such and sentenced to banishment from the city though I can control stone, I am unable to influence these creatures and thus will be quickly destroyed by the elementals who wait outside the city walls. The portal spells are still incomplete and so I have recorded them in this tome hopes that someone will one day complete them.
