Civil Unrest
Outpost Inquirer:: }-------------------------} Vol. 9 No. 6 ~ Civil Unrest ~
Unrest is growing all over Norrath. The Trolls appear to have reached their breaking points and have started to fight amongst themselves in Lavastorm. Rumors have spread that they are fighting to determine who will be their new leader. This barbaric practice is the most likely explanation for the conflict, as explained in a written statement by Troll expert and historian, Basten Ghunret.
This could be a very bad sign for those that oppose such evil as the Trolls represent. When Bortar was killed the Trolls must have been in complete disarray. Some scholars speculated that they might cause a lot of damage to Neriak before a new leader was found. But if what you have told me is true then it is obvious that the Teir'Dal intervened successfully. If this battle did indeed happen outside of the city and so many days after the death of Bortar, then it must have been the Teir'Dal that made that happen. Traditionally, Grobb was virtually destroyed during the battles for succession when a leader died."
Obviously a Froglok is not safe attempting to investigate a riot among Trolls and the Inquirer is unwilling to risk the lives of its reporters trying to gather information about these disgusting beasts and their rituals. Because we have no direct reports, we cannot prove or disprove the rumors of one rather large Troll dominating the ritual combats.

We are in need of supplies for our preparations. If you have time, please locate the war supplier in Gukta (or in your own home town, if you are not a citizen of the Outpost of Marr) and see if you can assist them. Again we remind you that these are "just in case" preparations and we know of no danger to Gukta or its citizens at this time.
