The Lava with Life Account of Librarian Hemfar

Lore tells us that Solusek Ro raised the spine of the Serpent River in a fit of jealousy over the prosperity of Tunare's elves. The legends say that Solusek Ro, the Prince of Flame, wanted the forests of the great continent of the new world for his own creations and was angered by Tunare's arrogance and audacity in claiming the lands for herself. His rage was final and uncontested from what the legends say. It is thought that Tunare did not war with Solusek Ro because she knew her elves were strong enough to survive. However, we mortals may not presume to know the matters of the gods.

The hardened core given to me from the Lava with Life in Ashengate Temple certainly would corroborate the age-old legends of Solusek Ro's actions. The core is thick with a seething anger and vengeance that is relentless. It is a hungry and terrible essence, seeking to burn and set alight any seed of growth around it. The consciousness that drives the Lava with Life is called Magmaraug. It is an eternal sentry tasked by its master to destroy anything that Tunare, the Mother of All, represents within its path.

Magmaraug drives the ebb and flow of the Lava with Life, urging it above and below ground from the north of Antonica to the south along the Serpent River. The greatest mass of the Lava with Life is pooled under the deserts of Ro in southern Antonica, but should the call ever come from its master, Magmaraug will move the Lava with Life to burn spread, burning anything it is commanded.
