~ Violence Erupts Across the Sea ~

Even while the Commonlands remains besieged by Dark Elf raids, violence has sprung up in the Greater Faydark. The Orcs of Crushbone, who rarely send more than a pawn out of their territories, surprised the armies of Felwithe by leaving the safety of their homes and assaulting the elves on their own lands. Reports show that a legion of Orc troops left the entrance to Crushbone in a hurried charge. They charged over the hill until they met the High Elf armies that were lingering in the forest. Although the Orcs were defeated, the surprise attack allowed them to put a serious dent in the High Elven plans.

We were preparing to send troops and supplies wherever they might be needed," commented a High Elven general. "With conflict breaking out all over Antonica, it seemed prudent to be ready."

The Observer, ever concerned for the welfare of its readers, asked the question; "Why did you wait so long to send troops to Freeport?"

Freeport does not need our help at the moment," The general responded "The Teir'Dal would not be able to take Freeport in a battle. We fear that they have other plans and we need to be ready to deploy where we are most needed."

Whether the High Elves are correct or not the people of the Commonlands continue to suffer from the constant raids from Nektulos.

~Brangdar found dead~

The mercenary and his crew of Dwarven warriors were found dead near the toll road in the western part of the Commonlands. Crossbow and dagger wounds were the primary causes of death, a clear sign of yet another Dark Elf raid. Brangdar and his band of Dwarves had recently earned a name around town for providing armed escorts for travelers in the Commonlands. On this trip, however, it appears he got more than he bargained for. The only ones found dead on the scene were Dwarves, so it is unsure if he was escorting any Freeport citizens when he met his fate.
