Finally after months of research I have come to the conclusion that the wall placed deep in our home was brought to life by the touch of Brell. My studies have led to proof that this is indeed the door to the Underfoot and as such I have began to figure out ways to extract and harness this power. However the possibility of cataclysmic consequences seems high, but the value of such power is worth the risk unless . .

Today was a day of disappointment. I lost three of my apprentices trying to extract a sample from the living stone wall. The spell I used to attempt the extraction seemed to be working fine. The face I have come to call the ward of Brell started to melt away as my body became more powerful. But then I heard something shout in my mind to stop or pay the price. Just at that moment an explosion of dirt came from the wall and sent my nearby apprentices hurtling backwards. The force of the blast killed them on contact, I can still hear the crunch of bone that echoed throughout the chamber when their bodies collided with an adjacent wall.

It has been a few days since I went to look at the wall. The death of my apprentices weighed heavy on my shoulders and my associates believe it an omen to leave the wall alone. But I cannot turn my back on such an opportunity to gain such power. With this power I could lead our residents back home and crush any who would oppose us. I must go back and complete the spell no matter the cost.

I did it, I have completed the spell of extraction and found a way to prevent anything from coming through. This will be great news to the others, but wait, if I tell them they will want the power as well. They may even try to stop me from acquiring it. No, I must consume the power then tell them. That way they can never take it from me. I can feel the small touch of it coursing through me, what a feeling having slight control of the rock that surrounds me. Plus with the spell I have made to seal the wall, once
