HOL2Chap20Complete
This power has taken over. I did not expect it to be so hard to control. Now every piece of stone I see talks to me. While the others see lifeless slabs of stone, I see living entities begging to be released. I have spent much time in my lab trying to hide from everything, but it is no use the very walls we use for protection whisper to me, calling me to destroy the intruders to kill my own people. I must figure out a way to use this power to help my people.
Through a tragic accident today I have discovered a way to use this power for the good of my people. One of my apprentices was sculpting a small statue, when I asked him if I could see it he handed it to me. When the statue touched my skin, it begin to meld with the statue, forming a shell around it. My apprentice's expression was one of fright. That's when the voice said, "Kill him!." then the statue attacked him. I ran for help when the voice said "Silence him now!" Turning to face him I raised my hand and rock flew forth crushing him into oblivion. In tears on my knees I looked down to see the statue, that's when I realized. . .
The past weeks have been very busy for me. The loss of yet another apprentice has aroused much suspicion with my people. It has been painstakingly hard to find time for myself so that I can continue my research. Regardless I have come to the conclusion that with the latest spell I have crafted I will be able to bring avatars of stone alive to fight for my people. So far things have been progressing slowly but I have faith that I will prefect this spell.
It is done. My first stone creation has been completed and so far seems to be fully under my control. I managed to sneak down to the living wall today and get a sample of the mud nearby. This was the key to perfecting the construct that stand before me. While I believe it possible to use rock from anywhere, using the rock near the wall itself results in a much more powerful minion. I am recording the spell I have perfected here using the ancient runes of my people, in case it is needed in the future.
