Troll Leader Murdered; Neriak Uneasy

Sources abroad report that Bortar Ripkiller of the Clan Grobb Trolls was found slain yesterday in the Dark Elf city of Neriak. He was apparently slain by a small incursion of adventurers in the foreign quarter of Neriak during an attack on the city.

According to allied spies, Neriak authorities are still investigating as to the parties responsible or motives of the incident, but preliminary reports indicate that a band of Froglok adventurers raided the town and assassinated the Troll leader. In response to these allegations, Lokta Elder Froops of Gukta issued a short written statement on behalf of the Froglok people:

The inhabitants of Gukta categorically deny any involvement in this attack and strongly regret any insinuation as to the contrary."

This incident comes as another major blow to the Trolls who were recently forced out of their home city and into Neriak's foreign quarter. Trolls around Norrath have responded to these events with violence and general disorder; they should be avoided whenever possible.
