Responding to the Guktan plea for help, the Barbarians of Halas afforded an elite contingent of soldiers and adventurers to aide the noble Frogloks. They fought with honor and bravely advanced through the ranks of the evil army. With much regret, the Halasian forces were unable to withstand the sheer mass of the army. Had it not been for a few adventurers who managed to successfully retreat, the valiant acts of the Barbarians would not have been known.

The general mood in Shar Vahl is somber tonight. A member of the Khala Dun, who asked not to be identified, expressed his remorse for what had occurred.

Though 'tis rare to see Barbarians in these parts, the Shar Vahl have a profound connection with them. They fight for honor just as we. It is with regret that we could not assist in their honorable plight."

~ War Tax Implemented ~

King Raja Kerrath hereby decrees that all citizens of Shar Vahl shall contribute one gold more than the usual amount for taxes this period in support of a war tax. An unspecified amount of coin will be delivered to the Guktans at the first available opportunity. The funds will be borrowed from the city treasury in the meanwhile and paid back when taxes are next collected this period."
