War in Greater Faydark!

~ War in Greater Faydark! ~

We have received news that the Faydark Champions have been attacked in Greater Faydark by the Orcs of Crushbone. Ran Sunfire had this to say when asked about the attack:

If they saw our preparations as threatening, then that just shows their ignorance of the situation outside their Orc-centric world."

Ran Sunfire made that comment while being healed by one of her fellow Faydark Champions. The peaceful area of Greater Faydark now is a battlefield of bodies both Elven and Orcish alike.

Through the efforts of several independent and world-weary Koada'Dal and Feir'Dal, the thoughts of the Elves became focused on the growing concern about war in Innothule. Council was given, preparations made, and the Elves decided to unite and send a contingent wherever it might be needed.

As supplies grew in the storehouses of Kelethin, the Elven contingent assembled under the shadow of the city. Ran Sunfire tells us that they were prepared to march if needed when the Orcs of Clan Crushbone attacked.

We'd heard that they were assembling troops, we just didn't expect they'd attack us. It seemed foolish for them to come into the forest in force when they could defend that crappy cave of theirs forever with a small number of elite troops."

There has been word that Dark Elves were among the Orcs during the battle but nothing conclusive has been established. Unfortunately however, it seems as though this attack will delay the troops. Ran Sunfire had this comment:

At this time we just don't know how long it will be before we will be able to move out. Much of our supplies were also destroyed, so even if we were healthy we wouldn't be ready for a long march for a while."
