Evil Makes its Move
The Mining Journal:: }-------------------------} Vol. 9 No. 7 ~ Evil Makes its Move ~
We've confirmed today that a massive army of both Dark Elves and Trolls have begun a march from Neriak. While it is unknown where their destination is as of yet, there is no doubt that this army is intent to destroy whatever its target may be. A source we've managed to contact in Nektulos was able to observe the army's movements and make this report to The Mining Journal.
It's a while since I've seen a force of this magnitude amass with such organization. There's no doubt that these guys mean business. I haven't been able to decide their intentions yet. Logic suggested that they would attack Freeport, however, they seem to have passed it and split their forces. One went through the Desert of Ro and the other made its way through Kithicor to the Karanas instead, finally stopping in the Rathe Mountains. What they plan to do there seems rather obvious.
They've shown no mercy to those they've come across, and all have perished or fled in their wake. This is an army built for destruction. Who or whatever their targets are should best be prepared, for they will need all their resources and allies to assist them to defeat an army of this size."
We caught up with the Elven field commanders from Kelethin and Felwithe.
We know exactly what they are up to," Rend Firstrike told our reporter. "The trolls, with their cave-elf allies, intend to retake Grobb. They mean to attack on two fronts, it is simple military strategy at work here. We must be prepared to fight with all of our might. Though Grobb was once the Trolls' home, it is the Guktan's now and they must defend it. The Elves of Faydwer will not stand idle and let this army of death and destruction crush our Guktan friends. All people of who believe in good and justice should take up arms and assist the Guktans in the battle that is sure to come."
Messengers have been sent to all cities thought to be sympathetic to the Guktan's requesting aid for the impending battle for Gukta, though word has not yet reached us of who will come to assist.
Kaladim has made no move as of yet to offer assistance to the Guktans, but as always, you will know more as soon as we do.
